Paul Van Dyk was created in Eisenhuettenstadt in East Germany in 1971. He used to listen to house music on stereo broadcasting from the other side of the Berlin Wall and grew up in communist East Berlin, but had an interest in music from an age. Once the Wall finally came down in 1989, an underground club tradition quickly evolved in Berlin and Paul started DJing around the area in groups like Tresor. He started making their own records in 1992 - his first launch was a with Cosmic Baby under the Visions Of Shiva monica (on Transformed From Beyond). Paul first accomplished size praise with his remix of Humate's "Love Stimulation" that was a large club break in 1993.
