A very strong feature for this hotel is the exceptional level of service, and while it is quite remote this was among the reasons.. A really strong feature for this hotel is the superb amount of support, and this was certainly one of the factors behind choosing the Matahari Beach Resort though it is quite remote. You may arrive by helicopter, it is I think a magnificent short trip from the airport, we didnt arrive that way since my wife will not get into one, and I wasnt actually willing to pay the additional. The limousine supplied was very relaxed but it was a hour drive through some beautiful scenery, but it's a bit of a after a long flight. I've to say it was pretty much worth it, for not merely the setting, a lava sand beach is just a bit off getting and soon you get accustomed to it. The meals was spectacular at the primary restaurant The Dewi Ramona or the Paon a traditional Balinese kitchen on the beach, where cooking is over a traditional wood fire. The pool is great, but it is just a bit boring to spend 50 minutes in a ship to access the snorkelling, diving and water sports activities. The rooms were quite beautiful, with the typical features, and thank heavens air conditioning, really comfortable large bedrooms, and a massive marble tub. Im not sure Id get again, the drive is a bit off adding, but a really nice hotel if you need peace and quiet, and wonderful scenery, and if that is essential to you, then your Matahari would be great.
